Dr. Vikram Patil is a family physician who has looked after three generations of families in Rajarampuri. He manages diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid and everyday illness with steady, long-term care.

Patil Clinic was started by Dr. Vikram’s father, Dr. Shankarrao Patil, in 1987, in the same building it stands in today. Many of the families who come in were first treated by him.
Dr. Vikram studied at Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Government Medical College, Kolhapur, and completed his MD in General Medicine at B.J. Medical College, Pune. He returned to Kolhapur in 2008 to join the family practice.
His focus is on conditions that need years of care rather than one visit: diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid and heart health. He keeps a record of every patient’s readings so that each visit builds on the last.
The clinic runs a free diabetes screening camp on the first Sunday of every month.

- Do I need an appointment?
- No. The clinic works on a token system. Sending a WhatsApp gives you an idea of the waiting time.
- Can blood tests be done at the clinic?
- Yes. Sugar and HbA1c are done on site, and samples for other tests are collected and reported the same day.
- Do you do home visits?
- For elderly or bed-ridden patients in Rajarampuri and nearby areas, after the evening OPD. Please call to arrange.
- Is the clinic open on Sunday?
- Yes, from 10 am to 12 noon.
